As the crowning of this year’s greatest baseball team kicks off in Boston, Nike is challenging the Nike+ community to run to support the One Fund Boston, which continues to serve the victims and families most affected by the tragic events that unfolded during the Boston Marathon.
Nike will donate $1,000 to the One Fund Boston for every run scored beginning with the first game until the champion is crowned. And for every mile run with Nike+ and shared using #Bstrong, Nike will also donate $10. Nike will contribute up to a total of $100,000 for both efforts.
Nike has a history of using our brand to elevate causes that matter and believes in the work of the One Fund Boston to support the running community. This is a unique moment in sports to rally the running and baseball communities to come together to contribute and get involved to help the One Fund Boston. No matter who wins or loses. No matter where you live. Everyone is on the same team to support the Boston running community.
For the individuals and families who were impacted by the tragedy at the Boston Marathon in April, there are still significant needs that the One Fund Boston can help meet. Nike is directly engaging the Boston baseball and Nike+ communities to rally behind this effort and share their passion for sports and the important work of the One Fund Boston.
